Inotiv hit by ransomware attack

Inotiv said an August 2025 ransomware attack stole personal information from 9,542 people after a threat actor gained unauthorized access between August 5-8, 2025. The Indiana drug development and research firm has restored availability and access to impacted systems, but it has not said what data types were taken or attributed the incident to a specific actor. Qilin claimed responsibility in August and alleged exfiltration of 176 GB across 162,000 files.

Inotiv discloses ransomware incident and Qilin claim
