    Google Pixel 10 adds C2PA Content Credentials

    Initial Disclosure

    Google announced that Pixel 10 phones support C2PA Content Credentials out of the box to verify the origin and history of digital content, with the feature added to Pixel Camera and Google Photos on Android. The implementation uses Google Tensor G5, the Titan M2 security chip, Android Key Attestation, Android StrongBox, and an on-device offline Time-Stamping Authority so provenance data can be signed, verified, and used even when the device is offline. Google also said the Pixel Camera app achieved Assurance Level 2 under the C2PA Conformance Program and that the goal is to improve digital media transparency.
