Microsoft Teams adds malicious-link warnings to private chats

    Mitigation Patch Update

Microsoft announced message warnings in Microsoft Teams private chats that automatically alert users when a sent or received message contains URLs flagged as Spam, Phish, or Malware. The control applies to internal and external messages for Microsoft Defender for Office 365 (MDO) and Microsoft Teams enterprise customers, can be enabled during public preview through Teams Admin Center messaging settings, and will be enabled by default at general availability with management via Teams Admin Center or PowerShell; the warnings complement Safe Links and ZAP.
