Microsoft Teams Premium is rolling out Prevent screen capture, a meeting protection feature that blocks screenshots and recordings on Windows and Android to reduce exposure of sensitive meeting content. The control is off by default and must be enabled per meeting, with unsupported platforms joining audio-only. Microsoft says the rollout is now slated for late November 2025 after slipping from the original July 2025 target.

Microsoft Teams Premium adds Prevent screen capture
Initial DisclosureMicrosoft is rolling out a new Teams Premium control called Prevent screen capture that blocks screenshots and recordings during meetings on Windows desktop and Android devices, while unsupported platforms join audio-only. The feature is off by default and must be enabled per meeting by organizers or co-organizers via Meeting Options, and Microsoft 365 admins can manage enrollment and licensing through Entra ID. Microsoft said in May 2025 that the rollout would begin in July 2025, later delayed it until early November, and now says the feature will arrive in late November 2025 to protect sensitive meeting content.
