The US Senate extended CISA 2015 through January 30, 2026, preserving liability protections for organizations that share cyber threat intelligence. The stopgap keeps the Automated Indicator Sharing Program (AIS) and related sharing channels legally usable during the shutdown resolution. The move matters because the law reduces legal risk for companies exchanging threat data with government and trusted partners.
