The Truman Show operation is an AI-assisted investment fraud campaign that uses fake personas and attacker-controlled infrastructure to lure victims into crypto scams. It reaches targets through SMS, WhatsApp, Google Ads, Telegram, and other social platforms, then builds trust with fabricated experts, group members, and press coverage. Victims are pushed toward the fake OPCOPRO platform and promised returns of up to 700%, while the operation collects KYC-style data and identity artifacts. That data creates downstream risk for identity fraud, recovery fraud, and even helpdesk password reset or SIM swap abuse against employers.

The scam builds trust with fabricated experts, group members, daily trade signals, and repeated validation before pushing victims toward crypto investments and collecting KYC-style identity data that could later support recovery fraud, helpdesk password-reset abuse, SIM swap attacks, and phishing of corporate logins and 2FA codes.
