Safe and Inclusive E-Society mission launched
Initial DisclosureInnovation Agency Lithuania and Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) present the government-funded Safe and Inclusive E-Society mission to strengthen Lithuania’s e-security and digital resilience, with a total value exceeding €24.1 million. The KTU consortium includes Vilnius Tech, Mykolas Romeris University, NRD Cyber Security, Elsis PRO, Transcendent Group Baltics, the Baltic Institute of Advanced Technology, Infobalt, and the Lithuanian Cybercrime Competence, Research and Education Center, and pilots are already being tested in public institutions and critical infrastructure operators.

The surrounding threat environment includes GenAI and LLM-enabled fraud, voice cloning with ElevenLabs and Microsoft’s VALL-E, image and video generation with StyleGAN, Stable Diffusion, DALL-E, and DeepFaceLab, and Lithuania’s AI strategy (2021–2030) updated in 2025 alongside AI-assisted threat monitoring at the National Cyber Security Centre (NKSC).
