Microsoft March 2026 Patch Tuesday release
Initial DisclosureMicrosoft released patches for 83 CVEs across its product range in its March 2026 Patch Tuesday update, including six flaws Microsoft expects attackers are more likely to exploit. The release covers a near-maximum-severity RCE in Microsoft Devices Pricing Program that Microsoft says is already patched and mitigated, Windows kernel EoP issues, Office RCEs that can be abused through the Preview Pane, and chained GDI/GDI+ flaws that could enable arbitrary code execution. Security guidance emphasized patching after testing cycles and, if needed, disabling the Preview Pane, restricting untrusted Office files, and using email filtering, attachment scanning, and endpoint protection monitoring.
