Initial DisclosureBasic-Fit disclosed unauthorized access to the system that records members’ visits to Basic-Fit clubs, said hackers breached its systems, notified the relevant data protection authority, and informed impacted club members. The company said monitoring detected the intrusion and stopped it within minutes, and external security experts found exfiltrated data for some members, including full name, physical address, email address, phone number, date of birth, and bank account details, affecting around 1 million members across the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, and Germany while no identification documents or account passwords were accessed.
