Ukraine arrests three suspects in Roblox account-hacking case

    Legal Policy Action Update

Ukraine prosecutors and police arrested three suspects, including a 19-year-old from Drohobych and two others aged 21 and 22, in a Roblox account-hacking case tied to phishing and infostealer malware. Investigators said the scheme used social engineering lures offering in-game bonuses to steal usernames, passwords and tokens, giving access to over 610,000 Roblox accounts, including at least 357 high-value elite accounts that were allegedly resold for cryptocurrency payments. Prosecutors in the Lviv region, working with the cyber police and the Security Service of Ukraine, also searched 10 properties and seized devices, bank cards, handwritten notes and cash while the investigation continued.
