    Microsoft said the May 2026 Windows 11 security update KB5089549 can fail on devices with limited EFI System Partition (ESP) free space, especially when 10 MB or less is available, causing 0x800f0922 errors and automatic rollback during reboot at roughly 35–36% completion. Microsoft also pointed to SpaceCheck and ServicingBootFiles failed log entries, and said Known Issue Rollback and Group Policy mitigation can be used until KB5089573 or later is installed.
