    Kali Team releases Kali Linux 2026.2, adding 9 new tools, updating numerous packages and helper scripts, upgrading the kernel to 6.19 with 7.0 available in kali-experimental, and expanding Kali NetHunter with faster app startup, chroot and custom command fixes, EvilTwin support improvements, and Magisk standalone kernel flashing support. The release also ships GNOME 50 and KDE Plasma 6.6 and changes VM images to omit graphics firmware, reducing VM initrd size to 60 MB and improving boot time for virtual machine users.
