Technical Analysis UpdateZhejiang University researchers describe Bit2Watt, showing that a cloud tenant with ordinary GPU access can modulate data-center power draw at kilohertz frequencies without an exploit or break-in; the paper accepted to CHES 2026 combines real-GPU measurements with grid simulations, presents the SWMA and LTMA methods, and finds that common power and NVML telemetry runs too slowly to capture the modulation while LTMA is harder to spot than SWMA.
