Novocure exposed employee and patient data in a mid-August cyberattack, affecting more than 1,400 U.S. cancer patients and an undisclosed number of employees. Novocure discloses employee and patient data exposure
Initial DisclosureNovocure disclosed to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that unauthorized access to some information systems in mid-August exposed data for an undisclosed number of employees and more than 1,400 U.S. cancer patients, with fewer than 50 western U.S. patients also affected by exposure of identifying information and general contact information for healthcare providers. The company said no access to any medical treatment devices was obtained and that all systems remained fully functional.
