Nexus appears on Exploit offering 153 million driver’s licenses for sale
Initial DisclosureOn Monday, Aug. 31, the Nexus identity-theft service surfaced on the Russian cybercrime forum Exploit and advertised digital scans of more than 153 million drivers licenses for people in the United States and Canada, along with more than 10 million identification cards, more than three million travel documents or international IDs, and at least 579,000 medical cards. The service said it had been continuously exfiltrating new data for over a year and claimed previewable records were redacted before purchase.
