Qilin claims attack on MCPS and says 305 GB was stolen
Attribution UpdateQilin claimed responsibility for the attack on Mecklenburg County Public Schools and said it stole 305 GB of sensitive data, including financial records, grant documents, budgets and children’s medical files, while Superintendent Scott Worner said the district was still assessing the breach, did not intend to move forward with payment at that time, and later reported that Internet systems were restored about a week after the incident.
