AI-driven auto remediation and agentic AI adoption surge across organizations
Target Trend
Summary

Show ▼
Organizations are rapidly adopting AI-driven auto remediation and agentic AI, turning remediation automation into a mainstream security practice with measurable gains in MTTD and MTTR. In Omdia’s recent study, 88% of respondents said they already use AI-driven remediation, while 42% use agentic AI in some areas and 46% are piloting or exploring it. The trend matters because it suggests security teams are moving from manual response toward AI-assisted exposure reduction at scale, even as trust, prompt injection, and integration concerns slow broader rollout.

Organizations rapidly adopt AI-driven auto remediation
Industry Or Public Sector UpdateOmdia's study on Automating Risk Reduction in the AI Era found that organizations are rapidly moving toward AI-driven auto remediation: 88% already use AI-driven remediation, 42% use agentic AI in some areas, and 46% are piloting or exploring agentic AI. Respondents reported efficiency gains in mean time to detection (MTTD) and mean time to remediate (MTTR), while trust in AI decision-making, AI security risks such as adversarial attacks and prompt injection, integration complexity, skills gaps, and regulatory issues remain barriers to broader deployment. Anthropic also introduced Claude Code Security to identify vulnerabilities from context and traces of data flows across files and aid remediation.
