The report also says the average number of API attacks per organization rose to 258 in 2025 from 121 in 2024, 61% of API attacks involved unauthorized workflows and abnormal activity, and coordinated abuse increasingly blends API abuse, web application attacks, and Layer 7 DDoS activity.
