Binalyze survey quantifies US enterprise incident-response gap
Technical Analysis UpdateBinalyze's State of Cybersecurity Investigations 2025 found that among 200 US-based CISOs at enterprises with 500 or more employees, 84% believed a successful cyber-attack on their organization was inevitable, respondents said they could respond to only 36% of cyber-attacks on average, and 70% said they struggled to remediate or recover from an attack in the past year. The survey also found that 90% cited lack of skills as the top reason for incident-response difficulty, 79% of organizations favored cyber-attack prevention over incident response, and the estimated cost of a one-hour delay in cyber incident response was about $114,000 for a US victim organization.
